The government's decision to file a reference in the Supreme Court to disqualify Imran Khan
Islamabad: In the meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and allied parties at the Prime Minister House, it was decided that a reference will be filed in the Supreme Court to disqualify Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.
The meeting of PDM and allied parties ended at the Prime Minister's House. In the meeting, the decision of the Election Commission on the PTI prohibited funding case was discussed in detail and the future course of action was discussed.
According to sources, it was decided in the meeting that a reference will be filed in the Supreme Court to disqualify Imran Khan, the reference will be filed under Article 62 and 63.
Sources say that it was decided to file the reference after an informal consultation with the leader of the Muslim League-N, Nawaz Sharif.
Sources have said that the federal cabinet will approve the filing of a reference in the Supreme Court on the prohibited funding case tomorrow. The decision will be made tomorrow.
According to the sources, the cabinet will also take a decision tomorrow about putting the names of Imran Khan and other leaders in the ECL.
It was decided in the meeting that no one including Tehreek-e-Insaaf will be allowed to protest in the red zone, anyone who wants to protest can do so outside the red zone.
